This is my first official blog post (yay for me!) and I am very excited about it. My sole purpose for creating this blog is to make a little extra cash by attempting to sell some of my art work. We will see how that goes, but i am going to try to post new stuff once every week or two so keep your eyes peeled!
Most of the work will probably be in colored pencil since i'm not in the studio during the summer, but once school starts i'll try to have some different mediums like oil, ink, and charcoal up for sale as well :) To keep up with the current Guatemala theme in Roswell at the moment, I just started working on a series of Guat colored pencil pieces. I'll try to post what I have so far later this week, but I'm very excited about them! And I'm hoping that because they are all Guat related that I will have a better chance selling them in Roswell :) Clever am I -- a little yoda talk for ya ;)
well enough work-related talk...
I am coming back to Roswell on the 19th of June if any of whom reads this are interested! I will be home from the 19th to the 25th and i'm very excited! My trip got cut short last time, so i'm hoping to get a little more face time with the fam and friends before I come back again in August.
I saw the hangover the other day... WONDERFUL! I absolutely loved it! I'm actually obsessed with it right now. I have probably repeated the same few lines a million times to my friends here because I just can't get enough of it! I am of course totally willing to see it again minus the fact that it costs $10.25 to see a movie up here in philly... poo... But for those of you who haven't seen it yet you MUST go! It is totally worth your time and money. I'll give you a quick quote now...
Andy from the Office: "You've found a baby before?"
Fat Guy whose name I don't recall: "Of course."
Andy: "Where?"
Fat Guy: "The Coffee Bean."
hahahahahahaha omg so funny. You just have to see it.
I'm planning on seeing one movie a week this summer (that's one reason I need the extra cash).
Two Fridays ago I saw Terminator Salvation. I thought it was great. Special effects were awesome and the story line was pretty good and easy to follow. I rented the first three terminators before I saw the fourth and watched them in about 2 full days and I have to say... I just don't see what all the fuss was about? The story itself is pretty unbelievable and not really interesting. But Arnold Schwartzanager or however you spell it was awesome! I was never a fan until I saw these movies. He's just so cute and funny! That accent... oh it gets you giggling ;) "Hasta La Vista Babae" But he wasn't in the fourth :( Just some weird look a like who was in the movie for approximately 4 minutes... lame
This past Friday I saw the Hangover which, like I said, was pee in your pants funny!
This Friday I am planning on seeing The Taking of Pelham 123. I'm a little nervous about seeing this one because I have recently inherited my father's "jumpy gene" and jump at every loud, sudden, gun shot type noise. I'll just be sweating and covering my ears the majority of the movie. And I'm renting the original this week because I heard it was a great movie as well. I like to see any originals or previous movies first.
As for the next weekend I'm in a bit of a rut. There are three movies coming out that I want to see, but that just wont work! Year One, The Proposal, and Whatever Works. I have to see them all!!! It just throws my whole schedule off. Why would they make them all come out in the same weekend, why!?!?!
I sound like a movie reviewer or something... i'm making my blog into a come-to movie critique site... cool :)
one more review before I depart.
The new Dave Matthews Band Cd: Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King is to die for! Absolutely amazing and totally dave-esk! I can't even pick my favorite song on the cd because they are all that gosh darn good! Number 2: Funny the Way it Is is wonderful, Number 3: Lying in the Hands of God is inspiring and Number 13: You and Me is heart poundingly good. If you're a fan of Dave, you will absolutely be a fan of this piece of art :)
love to all!
i'm out
